I'll say this again: Religion is a matter of belief and faith. Science is a systematic method of investigation.
They are not pitted against one another.
But if science contradicts religious doctrine or religious belief or vice versa, then two things should happen: 1) The science should be reevaluated and 2) The religion must be reevaluated.
Unfortunately, only one of these communities (religion or science) seems to be doing any sort of reevaluating or critical thinking about their assumptions, ideas, and beliefs.
Your logical reasoning is perfect.
The only religion in the world that includes science, religion and philosophy is Spiritism of Allan Kardec.
