It has been ridiculously slow, got bored and wasn't going to bother watching anymore, will watch episode 4 and make up my mind afterwards.

I really like the art style & narration, it's pretty chill in that regard. but holy fuck is it slow & drawn out. It's only 12 eps idk how we're supposed to get any sort of any plot going besides unhappily never after.

I totally agree, the drawing and art style is very nice. But after seeing episode 4 maybe its picking up some momentum.

Sounds like it's just poorly made.

think you guy's were expecting something this anime isn't.
this has a lot more character development, more slice of life like elements with the action being more about work/survival than killing the end boss (for now at least)
if you came in expecting SAO then it's going to be a disappointment since it's definitely far from it on a much better scale.

Grimgar is a more serious/realistic take on the Video Game world type genre from what i've seen so far.

Realistic for a casual.

I understand it's trying to develop a serious bond with the party/each character but there's slow, then there's grimgar slow.

realistic for a human being, guess were all casuals then.

seems fine to me for what it is.
Even Log Horizon had it's long instances of development and such before things picked up.

it's only 4 ep in and from what i hear it's following it's source material pretty good so far.(better than rushing it)
