Quote (El Shadday @ Jan 30 2016 04:34am)
His concept of Jesus is much more logical and rational than some fundamentalist interpretations that unfortunately some religious denominations do.
The law of love prevails over all other natural laws.
Jesus is the guide and example for humanity.
Only through the moral teachings of Jesus is that we will have the liberation of our lower attitudes.
as says the maxim, not out of charity salvation.

Have you taken any psychedelic drugs before?

I would argue that capitalism is far more idolatrous than socialism, and it is predicated on greed which many consider a mortal sin.

Capitalism is not "greed." A greedy person is greedy, a capitalistic society is a set of governing laws.

"Wal-Mart" is ran by a greedy person.
The Ma & Pa shop up north ($15/hr(?) starting wage, no exp) is not ran by greedy individuals, but is still capitalistic.

It is a system which rewards greed and promotes reducing everything, including human life, to how it affects the companies bottom line.

promoting greed and excessive individualism and in the same way claiming "we are a great one nation" is something like a foolish lie ?

in the same way promoting greed and excessive individualism on a planet close to be overpopulated doesnt sounds logical to me too...

Let's be honest, most human beings are greedy. If you could have more than you have right now, you would take it. Fortunately, capitalism rewards people who provide products and services, and because of competition, consumers benefit. Because of competition, employees benefit. Government takes care of the undesirable aspects of capitalism pretty well.

Were not talking about that. This was about the moral implications of the system.

We get it, verses are relevant only when they are convenient

Pretty much. Christians will always tell you inconvenient verses are taken out of context.

Funny how only "bad" or "inconvenient" verses are always the ones taken out of context, yet "good" or more "positive" verses are always somehow able to stand on their own without context to prove a point.

For instance, you see John 3:16 posted by itself a lot (or Job 19:25). Funny how that one can stand alone and is never out of context yet Deu 22:21 is always out of context.

Why is it so hard to accept that some rich people have libertarian principles, and not because of their financial interests? It's just common sense.
