Sweden is likely to deport up to half last year's record 163,000 asylum seekers either voluntarily or forcibly, presenting a major challenge to authorities, Interior Minister Anders Ygeman said on Thursday.

Between 60,000 and 80,000 people will likely have to leave, Ygeman said, which would represent about 45 percent of the total number of applicants.

The Swedish government fears many people whose applications for asylum are rejected will go into hiding. Police will seek to find and deport them.

See, social unrest will follow, once the pieces of cake for each become smaller and smaller.
Sweden already has hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants that are heavily dependent on social welfare.
If no other means of ... selection is possible, always pick "first come, first serve".

They're only kicking out half of them. Probably did a few more levels of vetting and actuarial work and are adjusting policy accordingly.

I think Europe is handling this pretty well.

Dumb western kids in the suburbs are like "WTF white people are dying off" don't know that Europe and European culture is going nowhere. My good, look at what it has endured in the past. This is historical levels of human migration, probably one of the largest since the Mongol Horde and the Napoleonic Wars later. It is a really stressful situation. And these European powers? All eyes are on them. Why is everybody going to Europe? People say it is welfare, but it is probably because this is their unfinished business from all that colonization business. They created all these fake countries and enforced them for hundreds of years....well as we learned from the European example, traditional power doesn't die so easily.

I trust the Swedes to be responsible, to themselves and to their downtrodden visitors. I bet even the 80,000 deported will be treated well.

What I hate is how this event brought out the most disgusting qualities in so many people. How many people learned they were racist, xenophobic, ethnocentric, etc, from this ordeal? I have always believed that one's identity only comes to the surface under duress.
