The family on the trail was met with a series on unspeakable tragedies. First, they lost half their ox fording a section of the snake river that was supposed to be 2ft deep. Then they were raided by thieves who stole all their food. When they hunted to replace the looted supplies, One of the sons was eaten by a bear. Most of the crew ended up getting dysentery leading to the death of yet another member. Poor Nicole had to be buried mid-route, but she was given a proper christian send off. Pops broke his arm trying to repair the axle on the wagon, so with the primary hunter out of commission, the remaining 3 adventures starved and died. Buzzards were seen picking their bones clean.

We used to play this game on computer days in elementary school. I'd say sometime around 1989-91. No shits were given back then about trigger warnings for the whole host of life and death situations that game threw you into, from violence and diseases, terrible accidents, drownings and starvation, shit was real and everyone loved it.
