you're disrespecting every serviceman whos ever put himself in harms way or god forbid died for his country like a true patriot when you suggest that the cowardly civilian population that risks nothing should get even a semblance of the same rights
I'd say for starters, military personnel returning home should have guaranteed employment upon applications rather than preferential affirmative action, then all drug laws should no longer apply to them, and any debts or child support owed by them declared null
At the same time, voting should be restricted from the civilian population at all. They have no right to decide the future of our country if they put no stake in it. Alcohol too while we're at it. And bearing a child should only be allowed for veteran women or those willing to become licensed at great expense, Heinlein had the right of it. I think phasing in, albeit slowly and graded over several years, the right of prima nocta for military personnel, at least active ones on leave in a civilian area, would be a good start.
