a few more notes:
-Dion Lewis was reportedly unhappy with his usage (not a secret at the beginning of the season) but apparently in the superbowl (only 9 carriers) as well, so he's probably gone:

According to NBC Sports Boston's Mike Giardi, his expected contractual demands are a problem and apparently Lewis remains disappointed by his usage both early in the season and again in the Super Bowl.
-Looks like were moving on from Alan Branch/not picking up his option (33 years old), and no guarantee Danny Amendola is coming back (though I have a hunch he will).

Smart move with Flores. We did the same thing with Patricia but he wasn't getting the coaching interest right away. By not giving him the DC role there's less chance they lose him. Took Belichick 2 seasons to groom and eventually promote Patricia, I'd expect a similar situation.
yep, 2010 and 2011, a note on that:

Flores won't have to participate on conference calls with the media each week, as coordinators are required to. It also puts things more on the shoulders of Bill Belichick. If things go wrong, Belichick will be taking almost all of the blame.
