You have to start with create a Account and Download the Client here http://magic.wizards.com/en/content/download
-it cost 10$ to create a acc but you get 5 tickets back and some start items after receiving the Account acces see here http://wizards.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2288
after create the acc you get a confirmation number pls safe this because you need it if you have problems with the acc activation

most of the time it need 24-48 h to activate the acc, after they took the 10$ from your bank/baypal
if there is any issue or the acc is still not activated after this time you can call/pm the support from wotc( wizard of the coast)

now after we have our activated acc and our downloaded client we can log in and start with some basics

check your collection under other products
you will have there a new player pack
open it and you will get your start items/tickets

here are some rules i use to stay safe

TrAdEsTaRs Tips For Trading on MTGO

1. Get some background info before you trade. (how old is the MTGO acc, how many trades did he before...)
2. Don't trade with new accs big amount of tickets.
3. Always be careful if you buy big amount of tickets no matter what.
4. If you have bought tickets, hold them for minimum 24h to make sure they are safe.
5. If you are not sure about the other trader, ask around in the community!
6. A mediator can't protect you from stolen tickets, you must use your own discretion.
7. Don't trade only via pm with unknown user or new accs, always create a topic in mtgo forum.
8. Let 2015 or soon 2016 user show you his Tickets and buy them after 24 h or more (hard to do but it work)
