Thinking back on the read (a few) of the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho I'm drawn back to the story that the king told Santiago.
It spoke of an individual tha went to a private party at a wealthy mans home where he was required to carry
a spoon filled with oil and observe the wonders of the home along with focusing on not spilling the oil.
After the first trip he explained what he had seen in the home to the wealthy man, but did not have any oil on the spoon.
On the second trip he had every drop of oil on his spoon but did not see anything in the home.
I was wondering what people thought the small story, what do you think Santiago was supposed to gain from this story?
