I've decided to start a record collection and I'm looking for advice. I don't have a player yet but I saw some on Amazon. I was also wondering where the best places to buy vinyl online are. I've noticed some newer vinyls cost almost 50 USD and I'm not sure why. Fifty bucks!? I'm going to hit a local music store up soon and look around there.

Anyone vinyl experts? Thanks!

If your looking for albums, there's actually not many where every song is really good.

I find this one a good choice for hanging out and chilling out.

and who said every song has to be good?

daft punk discovery, mylo destroy rock and roll, avalanches since i left you off the top of my head
in fact i made a list of albums that work well as a whole, about 40-50% don't have a bad song but you dismissed it as a wall of text

After listening to music for a long time, I don't really seeing the point to paying $20-120 for a vinyl album that's just going to sit and collect dust and is just basically to impress your temporary friends that you think you need to be hipster cool to collect vinyl. I don't even listen to my stereo anymore cause all the neighbors complain. Really - I'd like to have all the money back I wasted on tapes, records, cds and stereo equipment. I'm pretty happy with a just a good pair of headphones, and the internet. I guess when you get older you just find you'd rather spend your money on something else.
