I'm very squishy i find with lvl 25 armor with 70 ee. At what point is a higher level armor with stats and no ee going to be more beneficial?

Imo the only time a stat armor is beneficial over EE (Tank) armor is in a group.

If I am soloing I 98% of the time use EE armors.

Alrighty. I just have struggled a full climb with lvl 25 armor can't find anything better in my price range :s i found a lvl 55 with ee but only rolled 12

If stat armors are all you have then they may be better then a lower level we armor.
For example
A level 20 armor with 100ee would roughly equal a lvl 25 armor with 80 EE, and a lvl 30 armor with 60 EE
It drops 20 EE ever 5 levels to compare to that levels armor (better base)
So by level 45, the armor would equal to 0 EE, so unless you have an EE armor at this point, a level 45 armor with any strength or dex would be better

Never use stat armor in a solo climb. The exception to this is casters who you just want to max int the whole way because you can full heal ur self in 1-2 heals and keep dealing dmg. Stat armors are for people who have a tank absorbing damage so they can output max dmg

Also scales and leathers are the best armor. Always use a 70 ee scale over a 70 ee chain etc unless your class forces you to use a heavy or light.

I believe he is asking more about the diminishing returns of EE at higher levels/tiers...

A lvl 25 armor with ~75 EE would be about the same as a level 40 with 30 EE. At level 45 it would only have the equivalent of 20 ee.
I would expect that at level 50 it would only have ~5 EE.

There for at level 50 I would choose a level 50 armored with + stats over the level 25 with 75 EE.
Depending on how much +stats you have, I would consider it at level 40/45...
Just look at the defensive trade off vs the increased damage gain, and maybe test it against a few waves.

In general for solo climbs I ALWAYS suggest going for EE armored over stats.
