The gear is too expensive, you don't need any of that stuff. Steeldriver is more than enough to do hell cs runs with howl/berserk combo, and no need for all that strength either.
But obviously you don't want to hear any of this. You are just trying to replicate an obsolete way of playing from earlier patches and not actually thinking about what makes the most logical sense.
Its all about making that fake play style of the nostalgia of diablo 2, remembering the good old days, I do the same thing with other builds like bowazons.
Howl may be nice for berserk (wich is very bad main skill in classic), for ww it causes a really bad crowd control.
Howl causes monsters to run away, so they dont stick together, thus youll have a really bad crowd control, since they arent together anymore
I agree with it that the gear MIGHT be expansive, but the game is dead, you can get a decent full rare (except angelic amu+ring) eq for lesss then 30 fgs. And check page 1: you can vary a lot more woyh helm, gloves, rings etc. (Example: using sigons gloves+helm)
And abiut strenght : you dont need max life, maybe in hc.. but even there I wouldnt go full vita. More str means more dmg.
