i've won 3 games and tied 5 games out of my last 8 games

and won 4 out of 5 before those 8 games.

Im still not ranking up from mg2.

What does a tie give you? nothing?

seems like i should be ranking up by now

and i only solo and running into derankers is superrrr common

ranking system takes in consideration your individual performance.

U probably bottomfrag / don't get a lot of "man of the round stars".

You will rank up when you deserve it
Took me 13 games (12wins 1loss) to rank up Le -> lem

3rd frag - once
4th - once
5th - once

I mean it's not that bad lol.

I never plant the bomb either and i learned the other day that it helps you rank up....

This. I have even heard of people ranking on lost games, but can't confirm that.
Pretty much all about your points earned during the match. But yea I'm sure you'll get more from a win/tie rather than a loss.

Also, if you solo q, it's slower.
If you play with higher ranked pre-mades you will get more elo per good performance and lose less per bad performance.
If you play with lower ranked pre-mades it's the other way around and you'll have to carry hard or risk de-ranking easily.
Only my impression though.

An example : a while back, i was playing with my global friend and i think we lost 1 or 2 games, and after that i solo queued 1 game, won and i unexpectedly ranked up.
It felt as those two losses contributed to my rank up.

you aren't good enough to get to next rank and you would just get raped there, so just enjoy it

the number of invisible points, called ELO is counted by the difference of rounds you won compared with how many you lost

so if you tied your 8 last games, that means rounds ended up being 15-15. The difference between those rounds = 0 that means you haven't won any ''points'' to rank up.

Kills are only fiction nor usefull for ranks.
