rock songs of all time!!

so I know most of you fgts are all about rap... and lets be honest rap is faggotry besides dre, biggie, pac, eminem, 50cent, jayz, snoop and a very select few others... but I know a lot of homies here that are big on rock like harass, bena, voyag etc...

So i'm in a competition to win $10000 for naming the best 10 rock songs of all time (by radio station order).... they published a list of their top 1000 but they removed their top 10 that they want us to predict. so I have to figure out the top 10 they have taken out and put them in order as favourites...

absolute locks in the top 10 that aren't listed in the radio stations top 1000:

Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit
Guns N Roses - Sweet child O mine
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to heaven
Beatles - Hey Jude

songs that aren't listed in the top 1000 that could possibly be top 10, or out of top 1010.
ACDC - Back in black
RHCP - Californication
Greenday - Time of your life
Cream - Sunshine of your love
Rage against the machine - Killing in the name of
Lyndrd Skynrd - Freebird
Miss a thing - Aerosmith
Imagine - John Lennon
My Sherona - The Knack
Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison

my jsp boys that are into rock, if you can think of a dead set lock all time great rock n roll song please

Hotel California by the Eagles may be on there.

I don't think any of those you posted are top 10 material except perhaps Back in Black.

Welcome to the Jungle? Paint it Black? Enter Sandman?

These are all based on your question, I don't think they are top 10 though.

You're wrong about rap by the way.

4 STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN - LED ZEPPELIN
5 HOTEL CALIFORNIA - EAGLES

Off the top of my head:

1. Robert Wyatt - Alifib
2. The Velvet Underground - Sister Ray
3. Joanna Newsom - Baby Birch
4. Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
5. The Doors - The End
6. Captain Beefheart - Moonlight on Vermont
7. King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
8. Faust - Miss Fortune
9. Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
10. Bob Dylan - Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands

The most overrated stuff that doesn't crack the top 100:

anything by Led Zeppelin
anything by the Beatles
anything by Nirvana
anything by Radiohead
anthing by Pink Floyd after their second album

oh just read the thread, I'd suggest against using my list for this competition unless the list was made by a bunch of patricians

was it really necessary to insult both rap and gay people to ask for help with your poll?

As for pleb-tier songs that are likely to grace the top 100 chart of the average radio-listening dad rocker, first from your list the most likely would be:

AC/DC - Back in black
Lyndrd Skynyrd - Freebird
John Lennon - Imagine

other likely candidates:

Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
Satisfaction - Stones
What's Going On - Marvin Fag
Respect - Aretha Franklin
Johnny B Goode - Chuck berry
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Baba O'Riley or Won't get fooled again - the Who
Hotel California - Eagles
Come Together - Beatles
Purple Haze - Jimi hendrix
Born to Run - Springsteen
Good Vibrations - Beach Boys

hope that helps

I still suggest everyone listen to a few songs from my first post and see what you've been missing :o
