Go with an xbox.

You get free games every month.
You can share games with one other person digitally.
You get rewards points from microsoft that transfer into cash
Game are games, and if you want a better online multiplayer experience go with xbox.
You also get one digital purchase return a year if you dont like a game.
Controller is way better, everyone knows this.
More customizable.


In the end though, go with the system your friends have. Everyone I know has a xbox or both.
Also if there is specific games that are console only that you prefer go for it.

I traded my ps4 for an xb1.

PS4 is superior in terms of hardware but xbox live just blows playstation network out of the water. The community, software, and everything else about xbl is far superior. Bought the ps4 upon release and put more time in my xb1 in a week than I did my ps4 for a year

Seems like more exclusivity has been coming over to the PS4 that belonged to XB before

Also speaking from experience(XB1 not XB360)
I've had constant problems with online connectivity issues when I tried playing NBA2k15 and NBA2k16 and so have my friends to the point they got PS4's just to play those games perfectly fine
Constant connectivity issues with MKX as well on XB1 which run perfectly fine on PS4

I'm a fighting game player and XB controllers have always had the worst D-Pads for fighting games

People keep talking about how PS4 server connections are bad but I've had better experiences with it than the XB1(which I also thought would be better than PS4 coming from the XB360 live)

At the end of the day, you want to be able to play with your friends or the games you actually want to play so go from there because there's no point if you can't do what you want to do
