D2JSP has a lot of users, and keeping track of your interactions with all of them can be difficult, especially with a relatively limited Inbox size.

I propose the addition of customizable user tags to the site, allowing users to privately label other D2JSP members.
Each tag would only be viewable to the user who created it, allowing D2JSP members to leave themselves notes regarding previous interactions.

Completed a successful trade with someone? Tag the user as "GM trader in the past" or label the date of your last trade so you can find them in your gold logs more easily.
Used someone for a service? Tag them as "D2 Leveling Service" so you recognize them in the future and can hire them again.
Had a poor trading interaction with a user? Maybe remind yourself with a label like "Be wary when trading with this user".

I emphasize that these labels would be private, so no other users can see how you label other members of the site.

No apologies needed, you're entitled to your opinion!

I am curious how you can say it is a good idea, but that it is useless. Can you explain?
I know I would make constant use of it, and I think others would too.

Yes I can.

Sometimes you have a good idea, which means it could be nice for many people. I mean that many people could use this new tool that you have suggested but for me it is useless.

So that's why I said it was a good idea because I see the good though of your point, however I don't think this should be implemented.

I wish good luck anyways. :)

Ah I see: good idea for many people, but not an idea you would use personally - got it :)

I like this idea. Or maybe have a seperate section where you can make groups or categories and add users to them (however you are the only person able to see and access your own groups/ categories etc)

This would be helpful to keep track of certain services or other things like you mentioned.

My inbox is already full due to messages in sub folders.... :/

Glad you like the idea, I think it'd be highly useful in a variety of circumstances :)

Fingers crossed ;)

An alternative placement would be a link in a user's profile where you can make more complete notes, but I like the idea of short, instantly referenced notes better
