His actions certainly took some level of courage. Not many of us would reveal information that at the very least would put us in a hole for a decade or two. His revelation is a positive for our country and it did play a role in rolling back the big brother complex which is always a good thing.

We wouldn't want to hear about the crimes being committed on our behalf, might fuck up our perfect little bubbles.

Letting yourself be thrown into a dungeon for no reason isn't bravery it's stupidity.

...my hero's tend to be people like MLK who knew he would eventually be killed for his political activity or members of our Armed Forces who risk everything to secure my liberty and not some sniveling little coward who betrayed his country and ran away .
