I hate that I feel this way but no ... professional standards are professional standards ... I will never support discriminating against something the person cannot control ( age ..sex....race etc )

But how you dress. ..act and what you do to your body is your choice ... you have every right to tattoo your skin ... but it isn't a professional look and a lot of businesses don't want someone on their front lines with that look and they should be able to decide that.

I feel like I should be supporting a law against discrimination based on tattoos and piercings but I just don't. ...
How do you guys feel?

Personally, as long as it's not extreme I wouldn't discriminate, but it shouldn't be illegal.

She's got tattoos that cover her whole hands and neck ....

It doesn't look professional at all . If someone had a tattoo and it was inconspicuous I probably wouldn't judge either ... but if you look at this ladys pictures in the article that's upset about discrimination it's next to impossible to avoid them

I said it shouldn't be illegal, but if you can otherwise look professional and there's nothing horrible in content on the tatoos I wouldn't care.

...some people who practice extreme body modification may be suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder and it may in fact be illegal to discriminate against them under the Americans with Disabilities Act .
