how cum in naruto nobody hardly ever gets hit by a kunai or shuriken? its kinda like star wars where no matter how many times the clones shoot they will miss. only one i can ever recall getting hit was gaara in his shukaku form. even ten ten cant even hit anybody with those weapons and shes a master at it.

A metal object moving along a predetermined path probably isn't much of a threat for a good ninja, rather easy to dodge or block
It's only when they have the skill to use a whole bunch of them with wires/shadow etc that it becomes viable again. As shown later in that scene when itachi takes a hit

Same reason why batman never gets hit by machine gun fire.

they do all the time...
but if you're talking about fights between people with superpowers that cause 10kilometer craters in the earth then ya... a single throwing knife isnt gonna win it for ya.

and that fight between sasuke and itachi was awesome, especially that scene demonstrating how awesome they both were with shuriken, constantly bouncing them off each other at super speeds. the irony of this whole thread, is, that if you keep watching the fight, sasue actually hits itachi with a special oversized shuriken that exploded right after itachi dodged it.
