I've usually just streamed with my phone but I use my phone a ton and often have to charge, so I just purchased a classic 5th gen iPod video 30gb (will be modding this with a 256gb cf-sdcard and bigger battery).

I swapped the pads with dt250 pads.

It actually stays on pretty damn well... You could even headbang to your music

bought a used one of these years ago for 20ish$. worked great for 2 years or so. when i finally got a smart phone, i quit using it. my note 3 uses almost no battery listening to music. my only complaint was it didnt use a standard plug
