Hi there, I was surfing around and checking topics and what not.. I was wondering what would be the best kind of character for a newb, lol?

Also, is it playable even if I don't have any forum gold?
I'm looking to start!

Decided to make a Barb. It looks fun but kinda hard without any items..

Can good items drop at low levels?

Slowly but surely you will find gear, if you ever do get forum gold you can also buy somewhat decent gear pretty cheap to start off.

It's pretty rough starting out at first, especially with no gear but it is possible if you keep grinding.

Your probably gonna want to build more of a tanky barb, keep your eyes out for armors and weapons with enhanced effect and charms with health that will help you early.

If you find decent gear you can't use, try seeing if you can get a little forum gold from it so you can get better gear.

It takes a good amount of time and luck but don't give up.

Yup great guide, thats the one I used way back when I first started playing LS and even when I came back after I stopped playing for awhile.

theres a few that will take u, but if i was u, id find one thats paying for gps, so u can make a few fg to help u get a starter gear set

My guild is always looking for new members to slash with. We don't mind raising newbies at all!
We do not pay for gps, but we do help out to teach basics, acquire gear (even some loaner stuff) and always have fun.
