I liked Trump.... for a moment. I liked him because he exposed how vulnerable both Democrats and Republicans are and I found his stance on illegal immigration refreshing. Unfortunately, he's too flamboyant and I can't take him seriously. I'm no fan of John McCain, in fact, I think McCain is your prototypical war-hawk. All one must do is say "Rah-rah-rah, we want freedom!", and John McCain will support them. Syrian rebels, aka ISIS, ring a bell?
But still, McCain actually served. What did Trump do? Pretty cheap, in my opinion.
Again, If anything good that Trump has done, he's exposed how vulnerable the two parties are. If only a more sane, rational person would run for office and promise better action on illegal immigration control, they'd gain oodles of votes. But no, they're scared shitless of that big R-word.
