well, its not as bad an ad as the infamous Rick Perry- Strong, but not for lack of trying
the announcers voice and the absolute narm as he said "its pppuuuurree eviiil" and jovial smile juxtaposed together went in all sorts of wrong direction
that and the 'complicit' stuff isn't attractive, but if his goal is to appeal to his base instead of sway anyone in the middle, it might be the right tact

he himself might not need to reach out to anyone else but his base. but the GOP needs their president to reach out to the middle to have any chance in the midterms...
