Polls are fake except when they say things I want to believe.

Youre self projecting your own neuroticisms on our statistical analyses.

Your polls are fake because they take biased samples and confound variables.

Trump has had the spotlight constantly for six months and Hillary hasn't. It's not surprising, I'd wager it's the same for literally every president. Without some sort of comparison to other presidencies these numbers don't mean much.

Yeah, a largely negative spotlight from certain networks. It's just another testament to how poor of a candidate Hillary actually was, not that anybody needs another example.

Again, I was simply pointing out that he still indeed has the support from the vast majority of his base, despite a multitude of contrary claims in here.

He's actually pissed off a decent chunk of his base

First, someone voting for Trump over Hillary in a mock election doesn't mean they are supporters.

Second, the Trump voter is going to stick with him for quite a while, until they realize that he's incompetent at governing. The mythical outsider who can whip government into shape as a businessman/non-politician will soon be over.

a president still having a majority of his base on board less than 100 days into his term is the norm and shouldnt be considered a great achievement. it simply means he hasnt totally fucked up (yet). on the other hand, bill clinton also had a very shaky start into his term and very low approval ratings at a similar point of his presidency as trump does now. bill ended up hitting his stride and became one of the better presidents of the last 50 years. so I wouldnt read too much into trumps current support among his base, in neither direction. we'll have to sit back and wait and see.

Nasdaq trades above historic milestone of 6,000 as stocks jump
Published: Apr 25, 2017 10:17 a.m. ET

The Nasdaq Composite Index in early Tuesday trade hit a major milestone: surpassing Nasdaq 6,000.

The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.50% touched at an intraday record of 6,022, up 0.7%, Tuesday morning in New York.

“The Nasdaq has not seen a major new high, which is to say a breakthrough of a big round number, since way back in 2000,” said Brad McMillan, chief investment officer at Commonwealth Financial Network, back in February when the Nasdaq was flirting with those lofty levels.
