Originally thought of this as some moeblob slice of life, but the ending really threw me off completely.

was really weird and almost kind of depressing iirc

stories such of these imo make the best use of animation as it is hard to express such a story throughout a series with actual actors. (without bringing in the big bucks)

Is it worth watching through and reading the manga afterwards?

Series is going by a bit slow on Episode 2, but the fact she's slowly creeping into reality makes this great.
