another suggestion to further improve this is that this is an option for each topic so different topics would have different Bump messages

I voted no because using messages such as "hello world have a nice day" may prompt someone to reply "hey thanks man, you too", which then resulted in spam.

ok it was a random example, i doubt that anyone would actually make that their bump message
"buy my items" would seem more reallistic" or a more neatly formatted "bump"

But:

You should be able to have the choice between some options which are premade by an Admin/Mod (whoever would do that kind of stuff).
It shouldn't be completely up to the topic creator what the message will be.

anyway, a better solution (i have seen this suggested here before) is a blank message, something similar to hidden posts that have been closed by moderator so the room where the message should be is hidden




yes, but this would take up your time every time you choose to do it



this is pointless becase the user can manually bump with any message they choose anyway, the aim of this thread is to avoid typing a custom message every time one wants to bump with a such
