I come across various interesting maps on the internet. I'm talking about maps that show the differences in things like (but not limited to): climate, culture, society, topography, populations, resources, industry, economics, politics, or other statistical information. I think they are fun to look at and sometimes give a different perspective on things.

I wanted to share some maps and see what other maps people like. If possible, provide the date and source of the map.

I've been fascinated with items of history since I was young, the idea of finding pieces of the past filled my imagination whether valuable or not.

Because of that I have always loved treasure maps, looking at them, collecting them, following them.

There's a cool map about location of ocean carriers in real time. We learned it in my business analytics class. One instance it showed a oil carrier stopping at a region where ISIS was to give them illegal oil. It was later traced to one way on how they fund themselves. Totally forgot the website and name of the company though.

U can see 2 little blobs in Alberta
