I really enjoyed the UBW movie. (Went with the movie because I don't want to watch an entire series again after watching the first)
Like this route more than the first one.

Waiting for Heaven's Feel.
Probably going to watch the UBW series now.

i havent watched any fate so far
do i need to watch earlier oen to understnad whats goin on

watch the UBW series that just came out. then watch fate/zero. pretend no other fate related anime exist until heaven's feel movie comes out. and leave this thread before you get spoiled.

watch fate/zero first, then the new UBW, if you watch it other way around, you will miss a whole bunch of references

The first part of the story is Fate/Zero
The main story branches off into 3 separate sections: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven's Feel
They are all the same characters but are based on different decisions of the main character (and end up as completely different after the first 2 episodes)

I found Unlimited Blade Works to be better than Fate/Stay Night. Heaven's Feel has not been released yet.

doing this spoils a bit though, and i heard fate zero was meant to be watched after the fate/stay routes since it's an anime-only series for VN readers
