Now when they ship your Job overseas, you'll have to smile because it's a good thing for the economy, just not yours though.

Unless you happen to be the lucky .01% of the wealthiest Americans it will mean that mulinational corporations are son going to be writing the laws and policy that govern all of us they will hold the legal leverage to blackmail our lawmakers into doing whatever they wish. We have lost the battle for our country. With the passage of Fast Track legislation any measure towards agreement on any one of the three treaties only has to pass congress by a simple majority 51% A piece of cake for the Pro- Big business president who is eating from the same hands that the GP candidates are.

The TPP, TiSA and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (or TTIP, which covers Europe) will collectively encompass three-fourths of the world's GDP; and they ultimately seek to encompass nearly 90 percent of GDP.The terms of the TPP and the TiSA are so secret that drafts of the negotiations are to remain classified for four years or five years, respectively, after the deals have been passed into law. How can laws be enforced against people and governments who are not allowed to know what was negotiated?

As explained in The Economist, ISDS gives foreign firms a special right to apply to a secretive tribunal of highly paid corporate lawyers for compensation whenever the government passes a law to do things that hurt corporate profits - such things as discouraging smoking, protecting the environment or preventing a nuclear catastrophe. Arbitrators are paid $600-700 an hour, giving them little incentive to dismiss cases. The secretive nature of the arbitration process and the lack of any requirement to consider precedent give wide scope for creative judgments

The lack of information on all of these treaties is maddening at best but downright scary. It's important for us to know just how much authority we are handing over to the corporations. Shocking to think about isn't it? Yet that's what we've been doing, only this time there will be no recourse, no do-overs.

Highly unlikely that it will substantially impact your life in a recognizable way.

I remember when the first free trade agreement passed between canada and the USA, later to include Mexico. Here in Canada, the acceptance was passed to a nationwide referendum, and it passed. That's the first and last time i've heard of trade treaties like this being put to the people's approval before being passed, unfortunately.

How about those who are 35+ in the pard, do you guys remember in the early 90's if the USA put that agreement into a vote?

No they didn't put the signing of NAFDA to a vote, and it cost America over 60,000 factories that employed more than 6000,000 men and women
