Generally the dev/publisher get paid a set amount by Sony/MS up front for these free offerings.

Yeah true. But I am sure they are working them out for many months at a time. I'm saying maybe not a whole bunch of what people would consider great games agreed to the deal and they gave AC4 as the big one this month.

AC4 is actually great to have for free even if it doesn't make sense in the context of the bundle. I am sure some people will really love that it's free who didn't get the bundle.

It's the same with plus sometimes. People complain that there are o ly Indies one month and are disappointed but its the indie game I've been wanting to buy but passed for whatever reason.

Xbox one is going to be giving away 2 per month now as well. Same schedule as the 360. So better chances of a decent game coming to it. Not a guarantee though.

There was a month were that came free for plus and people in the comments were pissed cause it was another shit indie month and I was like these people don't play enough games because rogue legacy is amazing.

gow 3 is still wrapped in plastic on my mantel guess I might get a decent player base to try out co-op doing legendary.

Know it wont come out as a free game but i want to see skyrim on that list next month
