so the new dragon ball super series, follows the same storyline as the movie battle of gods and ressurection of freiiza??

So the series takes place after battle of gods and will have a continuing "connection" to the new freiiza movie

Super starts before BoG. It will bridge the gap between Buu and BoG, and then the gap between BoG and RoF. After RoF they will start introducing significant plot lines.

the games are actually the storyline they'll be following. the whole alternate universe/time travel thing. they're going to go to a different universe or something. BoG and RoF will get canonized adaptations in the anime. Hopefully this goes on for a long time, need more dragon ball.

What games? The storyline is revealed in BoG - the universe that all of DB/Z takes place in is one of 12 universes. Once Super advances the plot past RoF, they'll be travelling to another universe. Each universe has it's own unique characters (as in not an alternate version of Goku to fight), so I'm not sure what game they would follow.

BoG and RoF are already canon. The reason those 2 and Super have people so excited are because they're the first DB things that Toriyama has been involved with since DBZ ended, whereas he had no involvement with GT.

The MMO and Xenoverse. Toriyama wrote the storyline for the MMO and Xenoverse is slightly based off the MMO. It's said GT takes place in an "alternate timeline" within the other universes, as does Bardock going super saiyan.

Bardock going super saiyan happens in the same universe as the main story, he just got blasted BACK IN TIIIIIME!

It's before. Super supposedly will have episodes that show BoG and RoF, either a retelling or the movies cut up into a few episodes each.

You can read Toriyama's quote in there. The first saga of Super is currently being referred to as the Battle of Gods saga.
