Has anybody gone through this material by Kyle Idleman? I just started on this book for a small group study and I'm enjoying it so far.

When it comes to discipleship materials I have benefitted greatly from the late Dallas Willard. Idleman's book is a great motivator though.

I have to say I really enjoy the "Not a Fan" story snippets at the end of chapters. They are reminiscent to me of stories in Lee Strobel's Case for Grace (although it came out much later than Not a Fan).

Jesus didn't (he was familiar with Talmud) and Paul didn't (quotes Greek poets in Acts 17). I don't see why we should either. Committing the mind to God means we should be broadly literate like Jesus and follow leaders like Paul.

Discipleship resources that are biblically based are great resources for literacy and growth! I would recommend them to you.

The video clips were super corny to me and my small group. But, the premise is great.

I've only seen the first so far. I thought it was pretty well organized and engaging. I see right through corny though, so I hope the rest arent.
