I tend to come to d2jsp for most things, even if I can't get an answer. I have used thephotoforum, but it's not too busy. For sharing photos, I tend to use flickr.

I'm wondering what is out there:

- active forums for photography
- best way to share photos (sites other than Flickr?)
- best site to upload photos for stock usage, or otherwise? (Anyone experienced with this? It's not a matter of how much or how frequently something sells, but just for the sake of hobbyist curiosity... otherwise I'd look at practical business methods.)

Instagram is huge at the moment and probably one of the best platforms for building a profile at the moment.

Pinterest is great for mood boarding and collecting inspiration.

Forums.. not really sure, just usually talk with colleagues and others in the field. But years and years ago i frequented the canon photography on the net forum when i cared more about gear than pictures

Hahaha, that's me. If money were limitless, or if I just happened to have the best stuff, I'd stop caring. I love most forms of photography: Landscape, portraiture, architecture, wildlife, macro, and many other things. Loving it all gets expensive.

Thanks for the info. I think I will start up an instagram account (I think I have a personal one maybe I'll use that one... if I can find the password).

I use Nikonites. They have weekly theme based photo challenges. The users vary from hobbyists all the way to pros. I've learned a lot from that forum.

The best platform for sharing photos is still IG I think.
