solo is somewhat doable , you would just have to play on characters with no mqs so you only get 1 evil at a time which is manageable
and hell even solo is somewhat manageable barring certain scenarios , but no new player or someone with hardly any gear on hardcore should be doing quests like ambush or treasure pest.
Also I'm not going to explore unless I'm confident in the group. There's actually a fair amount of risk involved.
I would rather have had the difficulty placed into certain quests and then amp up the reward into them rather than making it to where monsters in general are just way scarier.
Monster essentially do double the damage they did before. I'm still not sure how intentional this change is but it's very noticeable but we haven't heard anything from Paul at all so who knows what we are to expect.
Honestly the difficulty solo isn't anything as hard compared to exploring in a 4-5 man group. 9 monsters deciding to hit one person spells rip very easily.
