If the drops have improved by a decent margin it's worth it imo. But I don't think we will really know how much if any the drops have actually changed until we get a LARGE sample size of full group exploring.

Won't get a large sample size for a long time... Should start seeing noticeable drops by now... Kind of sucks he made it even harder for newer players to explore at higher levels.. Solo / group wise.

solo is somewhat doable , you would just have to play on characters with no mqs so you only get 1 evil at a time which is manageable

and hell even solo is somewhat manageable barring certain scenarios , but no new player or someone with hardly any gear on hardcore should be doing quests like ambush or treasure pest.

Also I'm not going to explore unless I'm confident in the group. There's actually a fair amount of risk involved.

I would rather have had the difficulty placed into certain quests and then amp up the reward into them rather than making it to where monsters in general are just way scarier.

Monster essentially do double the damage they did before. I'm still not sure how intentional this change is but it's very noticeable but we haven't heard anything from Paul at all so who knows what we are to expect.

Honestly the difficulty solo isn't anything as hard compared to exploring in a 4-5 man group. 9 monsters deciding to hit one person spells rip very easily.

No we should not be seeing noticable drops by now. There have been so few full explore climbs since this started happening. It already was extremely rare to get for example a 150+ee item. Lets throw out random numbers and say it was on average a 150+ee item dropped every 500 climbs. Even if he doubled the rate at which they dropped we wouldn't know yet because so few have been done.

i still didnt experience too much of this crazy dmg myself..
at lvl 45 ish i was taking like 30 dmg per hit avrg.. my scale is good.. but couldnt prevent 1000 dmg..
but then i killed 2 or 3 eps.. and the last of these eps gave me a double hit for like 800-900 ish.. so around 1700 total ^^ was pretty scary.. i mean i had around 4200 life (around 90 vita at that point)
i quickly used the 900 life fish but was really scared for a moment as well ^^
so from my experience the most monsters arent so crazy.. but there are a few that are on steroids.. so you better dont want to be so unlucky to meet several of those at once

You don't have to see godly items right away. As long as you can tell the drops improved from the lower tiers then the least you can do is hope its no different for the higher tiers.

Imo the formulas need to be rewritten. He could be tuning the drops to the player base yet again but its obvious he tuned up the monster difficulty to do so or something to that affect.


Lance, you've always been on the ball with your suggestions. I agree with the obj. suggestion yet again. Tuning up the monster difficulty essentially does that for both, but at what cost? Speaking for HC but with little items floating around to kill such high level objectives, ripping great gear is more detrimental now then ever due to the low influx of them being put in the economy. ( Jokes I know )

i solo also a lot and 3ep lvl 66 do me 4.7k damage in like 3sec:P
but im lucky i drop lvl 10 magical charm

i think is imposibel solo whit robe now!

yeah not going to even try it on my ninja. getting hit hard on my 56 full vita barb atm from eps
but to me at least it seems to be more frequent higher drops from eps, got me some 40-45 mutes which is nice since there are none on the mp

From page 7 to 10... boring... funny how it got harder and Heal Mastery is null and void... personally that is a great change... thing is... it is totally fvcked up.
Basically the changes are made to make it harder... great... but then, the previous changes fucked over heal mastery to make it a TINY bit better... oh wait,
why not make it so fvcking hard that you can NOT do certain objectives while in a group.. and if by chance you are a solo'er... who the fuck cares about any=
thing else.

This game is challenging as we the players wanted, but, none of the updates since 1.15 really makes sense... shit.. they are all null and void now... pointless
set of updates because too many things got nerfed for the challenge that is brought about
