I needed to download the ISO for Windows 7 Home premium, but it's unavailable.
I tried to do the recovery on microsoft, but my key was from OEM, and not a retail key so it doesn't work. Even though it's legit.

Any safe way to get my hands on this ISO file?

Safest way: Pay Microsoft for a digital download of the disk.

It was about 5 years old. Old toshiba satellite. Intel i3, 4 gigs of ram, 400Gig hard drive

New one is a Lenovo, i7, 16 gigs of RAM, 1Gig HDD, 128g SSD.

Use DBAN to wipe the old laptops hard drive and sell it on ebay before it dies. :)

I heard that even formatting doesn't erase everything.
How does that work?
