Conservatism is a preference for existing social hierarchies and social order.
Liberalism is its antithesis, progressivism is just some incoherent modern phenomenon that celebrates underachievement.
None of the things you're describing are inherently conservative, conservatism is structural. Liberalism is in the same mold, but progressivism is an independent socio-political position.
Existing social hierarchies? I don't believe that one second...they have a good in mind and they have a teleological goal. If the existing social order was a large state with huge entitlement systems and egalitarian values then Conservatives would not be showing preference for that system. Your incorrect or disingenuous. Either way you're wrong. Conservatives are systematically dissatisfied by nature due to an attitude of massive entitlement and working toward a past that only exists in their idealized imagination.
Liberalism is the idea that we can have civil society but save the good things from the state of nature.
Progressivism is attempting to move society to a more meritocratic state of affairs. Conservative is another name for Regressivism, or would be, if the state of affairs that they wished for actually ever existed.
Even conservatives throughout North America are closet liberals....wanting to have rights and freedom instead of being ruled over by the fiction of "the best".
