I tried making a user blog about this before but then stopped playing SM64 and now that blog expired. If anyone cares to check it out it's
right here. I've been playing a lot in recent months so I decided to revive the blog. Since I left off I have purchased a game shark and I have just been practicing single stars. I've made a few videos of some of the cooler looking stars I've been working on so I will be posting those here.
This is one my most practiced stars and I still need to practice it a lot in order to do this consistently:
Bowser in the Dark World - 8 Red Coins in 49.30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8W1trL6JyIo (can't embed cuz jsp)
My plan right now is this:- Practice single stars to get more consistent at the difficult ones
- Do some full-stage RTA's for practice
- Start doing 70 star runs for a decent time, like sub 55 minutes.
My PB is
1:24:38 but that's very old and I would crush that right now if I cared to, but I don't. I'll try completing runs once I get better and can actually get a decent time.
If you have any questions about SM64 or how speedrunning works feel free to send me a pm.
