If finding a job is too hard for you, do what I did once. I took the Mark Cuban approach once. Went to a local shop with $100 in my pocket and a box of shoelaces. I had them print "Richard Montgomery High School" and "Go Terps!" on a bunch of shoelaces. Then I took those shoelaces and sat outside gyms and stadiums pitching them $5 per set of shoelaces. $10 if you want me to lace them up in a fun/funky way for you.

I made $820 in 2 hours sitting outside Byrd Stadium at University of Maryland selling f******g SHOELACES.

Use your noggin and don't be lazy. Easy.

...this actually sounds illegal . Were you vendor licensed , did you report the income , did you pay licensing fees for the use of the name etc...?

my guess is "go terps" isnt trademarked. Any team can choose terps as their mascott and print go terps on tshirts.

but the vendors licence and reporting is a legit question.

I live in a lovely Washington DC suburb in Maryland now. At the time I lived 40 miles away in a bumfuck town called Thurmont. I just was willing to drive 2 hours through rush-hour traffic to Washington DC and surrounding MD/VA areas.

LOL yes I reported the income. I know the regulations, it's easy to get past red tape in those settings. I got approved by the student council the same way that students are allowed to create t-shirts that say stuff about the university and sell those. There were certain things I couldn't write like "fear the turtle" and other things that they sold the rights to adidas or whatever. As long as it wasn't that, I was fine. I met with the principal or vice principal of every school gym I sat outside of. Schools are quick to promote entrepreneurship of young adults. Just walk in excited and wanting to do good and they go "well sure! have at it bud! best of luck! maybe i'll buy a pair!" easy peasy.

Personally I think this 'hurr-durr, unemployed people are just lazy' argument is one Jesus may have even used himself. As a Christian you should totally be proud of yourself.

To be fair OP is christian... very christian... and I find it surprising how this tends to be the attitude of the religious right when it's totally contrary to the moral teachings of their greatest hero. It's perfectly relevant.

No, that's the attitude of the religious right character in your head.
