I bought and downloaded guild wars 2 last night and wondering what class is noob friendly. Tomorrow I'm starting a elementalist with my friend (ranger) so I want to stay away from those atm

to answer your question, the least noob friendly classes imo are mesmer and thief.

Guardian and Warrior are ridiculously easy to learn and can still be really fun

Guardian if you want to have a super easy time and be useful in parties.

Warrior/Ranger/Guardian are easiest (In that order)
Necro is sorta in the middle, very tanky and forgiving but does have a few interesting mechanics
Ele/Thief/Mesmer/Engi are the hardest (Engi being hardest)

best class for noobs is warrior imo

i think warriors because it seems like the simplest class that does almost everything in the game pretty well
