do u see the problem. Clutter? Frivolous people making accountnames and never using them...... like the example of Devil ? People spending fg on name changes requires people to WANT to change to new better names. That = site revenue.

If njaguar needed money, he could run ads on the forums and make probably more than half of the ACTIVE users on this sites salaries combined; in one month.

It's a site philosophy choice, not a revenue one.

Well, D2 used to be ad based. They had a banner in the lobby. But, they received their revenue from sales, which is kind of different as you had to buy the game, as in comparison of 'optionally' buying forum gold here.

The reasoning is most likely because any of those users could re-login at any time, and it would go against the general site administration philosophy.

and I think 10 years is excessive..... 5 years too. Most d2 players only take a 1-3 year hiatus. I think 3 years is plenty time to reactivate an account, otherwise just make a new one!

Another thing is, so many people make a jsp when they're noobs....come back to JSP years later and they've forgotten their password. Then they make a new account despite the "1 account per ip address per person policy". The first account that they made is now a forever-lost account which will never be deleted and that person is forever breaking the JSP account rule. How's THAT for philosophy? Do you want the majority of D2JSP users breaking a cardinal rule due to an outdated draconian rule?

it's funny how JSP adheres to these abstract "philosophies" (of which no1 seems to understand) and yet they charge 100 dollars for only 3.2k fg. At least make it 10 dollars for 1k like every other site jeez.

At least make people WANT to buy fg. JSP loses so much money from people buying off other players or using other sites probably a 60% loss. Make fg affordable and u will make so much money.
