^ my thoughts exactly.

OP if you know you're going to invest in a lot of time playing ps4 + lots of ur friends have it, and the fact that you know wont touch ur computer by having it,
what is holding you back from getting it?

ofc a $400 console is gonna be shittier than a computer performance wise.
but it's only $400, and money isn't a issue to you. So what is holding you back?

You can afford both, if ps4 lets you down, u can always get a PC later?

did i make ur decision easier for u? cos im still confused af what the dilemma is here..

The situation has changed my friends.
I have decided to stay PC and deciding whether I should wait for the new ddr4 stuff or just go with a 4790k/ z99 setup.

e; yea I was looking for any reason to go for PS4 earlier but none were good enough.

honestly i gamed more on consoles than i do on my pc, all i play on my pc is league of legends basically.
i wouldn't drop $3,000 for a new rig when you could build a really fucking nice one for half of that.
personally- i'd just build a new rig.

it depends though, if you feel a ps4 is more 'worth it' to you, do what you like.

and tbh, why not both

stick it out til skylake drops so you have the latest/greatest pretty much. i got the 4790k because nothing skylake offers really interested me and i wanted to upgrade sooner than later.

Is Skylake really going to be a big improvement over what's available now?
From what I read it's mostly gonna be a CPU aimed at mobile devices.
Also DDR4 being overpriced/ not as effective as the developed DDR3 might be an issue too.

i mean, it's just gonna be a good idea to settle into the new tech. USB 3.1, DDR4, paired with windows 10 / DX12, if you don't like buying parts constantly and wanna be somewhat "future proofed" then this is the time and way to do it.

True that, guess I'll leave the PC park picker stuff for later.
