Infringement. There's nothing dangerous about the ammo itself. Mass shootings will just be done using another type of round.

Wise? In the context of trying to ban the AR-15, it's a step in that direction. Wise as an attempt to save police lives? No. Pistols that use this round are prohibitively expensive - not the type of gun a criminal is going to carry. What the ammo is, is one of the most common types of ammo used in the most common rifle in America. The reason people can claim it's unconstitutional (using the same language the Supreme Court used to strike down handgun bans in DC vs Heller) is that the ban tries to take away the utility of a common, legally available, 2nd amendment protected firearm. As the right to keep and bear arms is useless without the implied right to put bullets in it, if the BATF passes this ban, it will be challenged in the courts and likely struck down. Also:

if they succeed in banning one type of ammo it's really just giving them an end around the 2nd. amendment and no caliber would in theory be safe.

Of course banning certain ammo or guns is pretty dumb.

I'd rather see gun registration, but that's never going to happen.

Mandatory education on safe gun use and handling seems very wise in a country with so many guns. Sex ed and gun ed, a great pairing.

By the way, is it forbidden for parents to let their children (like, under 12 yo) use their firearms?

no we trust parents to be smart enough to make those decisions. I know our state has a hunter safety class that everyone must take before receiving a hunting license. Except for those over age 45 I believe. It's a 12 hour course that covers firearm safety very well.

first off hes only trying to ban armor piercing green tip 223, dont really give a fuck my self because i dont plan on ever owning an AR and if i do i dont need bullets to pierce armor.

thats just me tho, my 9mm carbine and handgun will work fine. plus the human head isnt armor plated.
