im very new in LS and dont know anything, i would like to start to do some mf runs and i dont care much about guild points.
is there some guides how to start / what char to pick etc etc?

make a barb with about 70vit depending on the gear



High ee wep

ee/mf for armor

stat/mf for charm

wells are cake walk these days, so that should be great for doing wells


i well with a lvl55 sword 209ee and 10mf robe, and 44dex 15int 8ml charm


18ml works good for me but its all about testing the waters.

Dont listen to most the people here that say mf dont work or no reason to have it
They really dont have a clue, all they do is party runs and never explore lol
Since ive been back, ive seen big diff on mf, it works way diff then most people think

mf dont effect the stats of the item but it dose effect if its gonna be magic/rare and so on
more mf u have the more of a chance an item will be higher, then rare

ive tested this on over 500 wells, prob more i lost count

this is what im aiming for

gear will be as cheap as possible, i hope 50fg is enough

In catacombs, you can find a water well. You can throw whites in (items with no stats at all on them). A monster will spawn and, when you kill it, he will drop that item you threw in with some stats on them. They often drop more side-items as well.

If you want to make fg it's not super fast but it's possible

Step 1-buy gear (you'll need a full set i'd go with swords/ee armors/str charms) so 50 fg will not be enough
Step 2- do climbs (learn what items are worth picking up) of course you probably won't find anything worth much fg but anything 30+ magical will sell for atleast 1 fg also pick up wellables
step 3- do wells, you probably won't have the gear to do high lvl wells but you should be able to do lvl 10-25 if you have even okay gear and since those level items drop alot you should be able to get atleast 15-20 every climb
step 4- sell gp's (you don't need to do this you can also try to find a guild that doesn't pay but is more focused on just actual slashing)
step 5- after about a month of this even if you find nothing of real value and you decided not to sell gp's you should have earned atleast 100-150 fg use that fg to upgrade gear
step 6- profit?


you'd be better off playing almost any other game to earn fg but you if you want you can do it here and who knows maybe you'll get lucky and get an item worth a few thousand?

step 1: disagree....I started with 0 fg and now have 30 (not to mention the items I've bought since) so 50 fg is more than enough. swords are expensive...go with clubs/axes...ee armor and str charms are a nice help but not entirely necessary
step 2. climbs have the disadvantage of other people grabbing the items before you do...solo is what I do and recommend unless you quick with grabbing stuff
step 3: save those lvl 3 and up white items for WELLS....yes...I LOVE WELLS...such a shame they so hard to find after lvl 40
step 4: sell gp's OR join an alliance that can help you and sell you good gear for CHEAP....
step 5: yup
