So I'm getting complete shit speeds on my PS4 and only on my PS4. My Xbox One and PC are both running at about 55/12, my PS4 is currently sitting at 16.2/2.6. I know it's not even going that fast because it takes 10+ hours to download any game, Xbox usually takes about 45 minutes.

I've tried opening every suggested port, I've tried using the open DNS servers as well as the Google one and nothing has helped. Switching DNS servers actually just switched me to a strict NAT and made things worse all over.

Does anyone have any fucking ideas for this shit? I've spent countless hours dealing with this and I've contacted tech support for PS, my ISP and my Modem provider, all of them have in turn blamed one of the other providers for the issue without offering any real assistance.

Not using a router. It's a direct modem to PS4 connection via ethernet port. I have two other things hardwired and both are getting excellent speeds, only my PS4 is having issues.

You tried changing out the cord?
How long is it and what type?

Just so you guys know a modem would only have one Ethernet port. You are using a router in some fashion.

In short. You wouldn't be getting different speeds on different devices of you directly tied to the modem because the ps4 would be the only device getting any type of signal. There are no other ports and wireless.

If I had to guess you are confusing a gateway with being directly tied to the modem.

It's a cable modem router. 2 ports. My PC is always plugged in and I switch between my xbox/ps4. My xbox and ps4 share a cord, depending on which I'm using. My xbox gets 55/12 and then my ps4 gets shit speeds lol. It really makes no sense. I've tried every possible fix I can think of and I'm looking for some additional help. I've tried changing DNS servers, I've opened every possible Ps4 port (a list would be nice, I might be missing one) and I've switched the channel on where it broadcast. Switching the DNS servers made things worse, opening ports fixed my xbox but not my ps4.

Yeah, those are called gateways. They are notorious for being trash when it comes to handling the connection.

Try putting the PS4 where your pc normally goes.

Is there any firewall on the router portion?

I don't know what you're not getting about the port being fine, the exact same port/wire gives me 5x/1x on my Xbox. I have of course tried switching out the cables and the port but that hasn't helped either. Both ports/cords give out 5x/1x on my Xbox/PC, only my Ps4 is getting a garbage speed. A quick search online has shown this is a fairly common problem but I haven't seen a single fix anywhere online. Was hoping someone on Jsp might have a little experience with this.
