Just so you guys know a modem would only have one Ethernet port. You are using a router in some fashion.
In short. You wouldn't be getting different speeds on different devices of you directly tied to the modem because the ps4 would be the only device getting any type of signal. There are no other ports and wireless.
If I had to guess you are confusing a gateway with being directly tied to the modem.
http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/cable-modems-routers/C3000.aspxIt's a cable modem router. 2 ports. My PC is always plugged in and I switch between my xbox/ps4. My xbox and ps4 share a cord, depending on which I'm using. My xbox gets 55/12 and then my ps4 gets shit speeds lol. It really makes no sense. I've tried every possible fix I can think of and I'm looking for some additional help. I've tried changing DNS servers, I've opened every possible Ps4 port (a list would be nice, I might be missing one) and I've switched the channel on where it broadcast. Switching the DNS servers made things worse, opening ports fixed my xbox but not my ps4.
