Im confused... crap secondaries, a ring that we all know would be better with sox + 6 cc than with dex + sock....honestly an ancient SOj is only relevant for secondaries (resist, life on globes, reduction, etc...)

Rare find but there are better non-ancient ones since months.

I see what you're saying but LoK is a good secondary imo and if nothing else, the dex is a high roll. The dps difference between 600+ dex and 6cc isn't as much as you would think unless you are severely lacking cc. For my SoJ on my dh I only gained like 1 or 2% sheet dps rolling 615 dex into 6cc

Also, he has perf rolls with the damages which is super nice.

Yeah but you can easily get tons of dex elsewhere. CD and CC are a different case.

oh I'm certainly not disputing that.

It's funny because the difference between an ideal ancient soj and ideal normal soj is almost nothing. All the main things you want on a soj don't change between ancient and non ancient. Just the secondaries do, which does help if you get the right ones, but it's not particularly significant
