Climate Change Is A Bigger Threat Than Terrorism, Says Obama

By sonali raj on February 13 2015 3:22 AM

US President Barack Obama believes climate change is a greater threat to national security in the United States than terrorism. His views on the issue were confirmed by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

I definitely agree.

I remember you posting how we're all 9 meals away from chaos. Climate change will cause that far easier than terrorism ever will.

I don't see terrorism as the biggest threat at all. Even when considering the amount of people that have died due to terrorism, I see climate change as a more dangerous and unpredictable influence on our society.

...they are two completely separate issues . Using climate change as a way to diminish the threat of Islamic radicalism is a classic red herring fallacy . He went on to say that stopping terrorism is the same as a city mayor trying to stop crime .

He would easily fit into PaRD .

If he actually believes that, then how long til we invade China for its polluting war crimes? I think its absolutely pathetic that the US, and so many other countries actually put the effort into doing something about this while others don't care and never will. This is the problem with global warming...try convincing the globe to change how they live. We are doing our part that's for sure.

Climate is definitely a bigger threat. Fighting terrorism is pretty straightforward, fighting climate change means inventing new technologies and changing the world's lifestyle.

Did you actually listen to the speech?

Seriously, you're making a mountain out of a molehill and you're looking for the interpretation that fits your narrative.

It's good to see that Obama does have a sense of what he should prioritize.

...and they are still two separate issues , one immediate and the other long term . While I expect the less than politically savvy to make these types of dumbass linkages and arguments I don't want to see it in the President of the United States . When the President speaks it is for a reason and his weak attempt to diminish the threat from radical Islam is most likely another political move in his never ending appeasement toward Islam and the Arab world .

...I am trying to expose his narrative .
