depends really. you can get decent gear from the start if you know where to level
theres monsters that drop stuff required for creating potions for example that drop stuff at high chance but you can also push your luck by going for some rare drops
and these monsters exist in all level ranges so you can just get decent money from leveling alone
to dip into high gear youll either need to spend a ton of time farming or spend money if you want to speed up the process
stuff you can buy for real life money usually boosts experience or drop rates and you can sell these items to other players.
its not really pay2win since you dont actually win anything by paying but it sure is a lot better to just spend a little money atleast for premium (increased drop/exp rate, access to 3rd jobs etc)
premium costs 9€ per month on the european server where i play at so its cool actually. you can just pay 1,50€ for 5 days for example too that helps if you dont want to grind all the time
