Seems like Boehnhead made matters worse for himself yesterday with his Fox News interview. It's shooting around the Internet tubes primarily for a different reason (related to his party's shutdown gambit) but people are starting to pick up on the comments he made about the Netanyahu speech because it's now clear he was lying earlier when he maintained that his office had informed the White House of the pending speech. Haaretz picked up on the lie, and mercifully the American press is finally starting to as well. This might be information that never reached you on that alternate plane of reality you occupy, but people who've done their work on the other side of the Capitol don't care much for Boehner. His rare breed of incompetence and his total ineptitude at managing a majority, in a chamber where having a simple majority is the only thing that matters, has pretty much ruined any good will that may have existed prior to his elevation.

That said I do genuinely pity him a little. Sure his management of the House has been historically awful, but it's not like he had a real making in his majority.
