that being said, there are 4 days worth of posts on page 1. not enough bandwidth to warrant the add imo. it's just too easy of a forum to patrol without this button added

It's easy to keep an eye on these topics. If some users are just posting there for their +1 and it's clearly the same answer repeated, you can always report it for spam.
I agree with these statements at the same time though
It really wouldn't hurt if such a button was added that would FLAG the topic resolved/unresolved (unresolved in-case issues come aboard the new information)
However I feel as though the topic should NOT be closed, for the same reasons that topics cannot ever be closed by regular members themselfs.
Just a flag with %date "RESOLVED 2/17/2015" would be enough imo.
It could go both ways. But certainly would help weed out the topics that many of us view just to see if an issue was resolved correctly.
