I expect this to be struck down by the courts over technical details regarding ancient telecom laws being distorted by the FCC to claim regulatory power it doesn't have.
I think Roberts and Kennedy will side with the FCC on this.

You have any actual arguments as to why it's necessary?
People are paying for a product but access to that product is restricted after it is paid for depending on what site you want to interact with. If you are on a Comcast connection and you're going to a non-Comcast site or worse a rival site, Comcast will make it so you have a much harder time accessing it.
Internet companies should have as much control over what you view as they do what channel you watch when on television. Channel 5 is owned by somebody else? Make the connection really really shitty and people will watch channel 9, which we own, instead.
This activity should be disrupted, people need to monitor it to make sure fair practices are being observed. American consumers have rights like American producers do.
Nobody is saying make them non-profit, just have some standards of behavior that can be counted on in the ethical realm.

Well, the courts already demolished the last attempt. This seems like the administration is doing yoga trying to find ways to stretch words beyond their meanings. But hey, they're Democrats, words never have meanings with them.
And Republicans all talk like characters in a Shakespeare play
Republicans do the same thing when they equate Free with No Food and Homeless lol.
